EXTENSION – Hours of Service Executive Order 19-36.

The Commissioner’s Order issuing an extension of Emergency Executive Order 19-36 was signed by Commissioner Anderson Kelliher and signed/filed by the Secretary of State. The extension goes into effect at 12:00 AM on November 30th (the original EEO expires at 11:59PM on November 29th) and gives carriers and drivers relief from certain hours of service requirements until January 10, 2020.

Please take the time to read the specifics in the attached exemption and pass this on to your associate jobbers, as some of them may not be members.

Nothing in this order shall be construed to relieve motor carriers and drivers providing direct assistance for emergency relief efforts from the requirements under paragraph (a) of the Code of Federal Regulations, title 49, part 395.3 which states, in part, a driver may drive only 11 hours during a period of 14 consecutive hours after coming on duty following 10 consecutive hours off duty.

Print off the Executive Order. The driver should carry this in the truck.
